I have already planned to change my substack pseudonym from Fred to Friedrich, once the time is right. I will begin to sprinkle in, gratuitously, references to Jean-Jacques Lecercle and Flaubert. The longer I am in New York the more I realize this is all it takes to join the petit bougousie.
